The Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project was selected as a finalist this month for the European Press Prize, an award created by representatives of seven European media foundations.

OCCRP’s "Proxy Platform" investigation into a global money-laundering network, which uncovered hundreds of phantom companies that existed only on paper and were used to launder hundreds of millions in illegal gains into usable wealth, is one of six nominees in the “news reporting” category.

The award winners will be decided on January 26th, and will receive over $13,000 in prize money, to be spent on a project that will enrich the practice of journalism.
